Terri LeRoux (nee Hamilton), of
Hamilton Management & Consulting has developed and run several social, vocational and academic based programs for persons
with learning disabilities and AD(H)D. She is the current Executive Director of the Learning Disabilities Association of Mississauga
and the past Executive Director of the Learning Disabilities Association of Newmarket, Aurora & District. Terri additionally
worked for several years in Ontario's Provincial Parks (Presqu'ile and Algonquin) as a Provincial Park Warden.
David Arama has been teaching and leading outdoor programs
for more than 20 years at community colleges (e.g.. Humber, Niagara, Conestoga), universities (McMaster), numerous district
school boards, and city Parks and Recreation departments (e.g., Vaughan, Markham, and Milton). Due to David's extensive knowledge
in wilderness survival, map & compass use, nature lore, edible and medicinal plants, and outdoors camping training, he
is also a consultant and program designer, having pioneered numerous outdoor programs for groups, individuals, and many summer
adventure camps. Academically, David has the following credentials: B.A. Environmental Studies (York); Diploma in Business
Administration (Seneca); Certificate in Outdoor Recreation (Humber); and Certificate in Wilderness Emergency Care (Humber).
Presently he is completing a M.A. in Education (C.M.U.).
Dagmara Woronko holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree
from York University, with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Psychology. Dagmara has extensive experience in working
with children and adolescents with various developmental and learning disabilities. She has worked as an Assistant Summer
Camp Counselor with Toronto Parks and Recreation, as an Academic Tutor for children aged eight through sixteen (both with
and without disabilities), as an Academic Peer Advisor with McLaughlin College (York University), as an Educational Therapist
for children with autism, and as a Social Skills Instructor with the Learning Disabilities Association Newmarket, Aurora and
District. She is currently completing her Masters of Education where she is conducting research into the social and educational
integration of developmentally and/or learning disabled children into mainstream classrooms. Dagmara's personal and professional
passion is working with children with a variety of exceptionalities, and helping them
to realize their strengths and potentials.
Ludmila (Ludka) Kosciuch graduated from The Maria Grzegorzewska
Academy of Special Education in Warsaw, Poland with a Masters Degree in the Specialization of Pedagogy and Special Education.
Ludka has worked with children and teenagers in integrated schools in regular main - stream classrooms, and with those who
are learning and developmentally challenged. She has ten years experience working on a one to one basis with children who
have math difficulties. She is fully trained in Mastery Academys PACE and MAML programs. Ludka spent the last summer working
with PACE students. Her students performed beyond expectations at the conclusion of the program.
Paul Tarsitano is a Paramedic with Toronto
EMS. Paul has taught First Aid /CPR with St. John, Red Cross, and Heart & Stroke. In addition, he has instructed at the Wilderness Survival Challenge School and has taught
special education at a high school for 10 years.
Paul's experience is vast. He has experience with the Canadian Ski
Patrol, Search & Rescue, as well as being a group leader. This experience has given Paul a broad insight into prevention
and treatment of both trauma and medical situations. As well, Paul has studied wilderness first aid with numerous agencies
located in Ontario and B.C., and encourages all students to broaden their minds by taking courses with a variety of agencies. Most of the scenarios that Paul uses in his programs are ones that he himself has actually
experienced.
